"The Quiet Practice"
Yin yoga is often referred to as "the quiet practice" which allows students to move more inward and into a meditative state. Yin poses are a series of long-held passive floor poses that mainly work the hips, pelvis, thighs and lower lumbar spine.
The Yin Approach
The opposite of a muscle-engaged yoga practice, we soften all of our muscles in each pose to allow all the fascia (connective tissue), ligaments, tendons and joints to modestly stimulate.
Benefits of Yin Practice
- Increased mobility in the body (especially the joints and hips)
- Calming and balancing effect on the mind and body
- Enhanced meditation - helps you sit longer more comfortably for meditation
Seasonal Focus
This 2-hour workshop will focus on the season of letting go and moving into shapes that benefit the meridians and organs associated with the fall season.
Open to all levels and abilities.
Perfect for anyone looking to slow down, turn inward, and align with the natural rhythm of autumn.
